Clean-up day at Biscayne National Park!

Sunday, October 23rd, 8am - 3pm

In coordination with The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks, we set up an amazing volunteer clean-up day in Biscayne National Park that you can be part of!

Every December through April, Biscayne National Park hosts almost daily beach clean-ups of its outer keys in preparation for sea turtle nesting season. The rangers of Biscayne have offered runners of the Everglades Half Marathon & 5k an exclusive opportunity to participate in this program on October 23rd. We’ll be whisked away by the Biscayne National Park rangers to one of the park’s remote islands to remove all manmade debris that poses a threat to future sea turtle mamas and their hatchlings.

Last year, this program removed 21,000 pounds of trash from the shorelines and waterways of Biscayne National Park.

Sign up and help the park beat that number this year!

We can accommodate 4-12 volunteers who are at least 16 years of age.
Sunday, October 23rd from 8am – 3pm
