The end of the year brings a change in temperature, a round of holidays to celebrate, and one of the busiest fundraising times of the year! November alone hosts National Philanthropy Day (Nov. 15th), Giving Tuesday (Nov. 29th), not to mention Thanksgiving, and all the other holidays running up until the end of the year. To keep things exciting we’re issuing a Giving Tuesday/End-Of-Year Fundraising Challenge. Keep reading to learn about the categories, prizes, and details.
Category # 1 Charity Bibs
- Duration of contest: November 1st to December 31st.
- Who: Anyone registered for a 2023 Charity Bib through Wander Project
- How: You’re already entered! You’re already raising funds for a charity you care about. All donations that come in through your official RunSignUp account during the contest duration will automatically count. Plus, any donations on a Facebook Fundraiser with Wander Project are designated as the recipient (we’ll still make sure these funds go to the nonprofit you selected, but this way we can officially count them towards your minimum).
- Plus: As a Charity Bib you have an automatic entry to Wanderer’s Club – We’ve posted templates, videos, timelines, and all sorts of tools in there to get you started and support your journey.
- Prizes: The two Charity Bib participants who raise the most between Nov. 1 and Dec 31 will win $250 for their selected charity and WP swag! If you’re the top overall challenge fundraiser, you’ll win an entry to a 2023 VR Half Event!
Category # 2 – Anyone in the Wander Project Community
- Duration of contest: November 1st to December 31st.
- Who: Anyone in the world not registered for a 2023 Charity Bib through Wander Project
- How: Create a Facebook Fundraiser for Wander Project! It could be just on Giving Tuesday or the full month of November or run the rest of the year. Any donations you raise for Wander Project on a Facebook Fundraiser with Wander Project designated as the recipient will automatically enter you.
- Prizes: The two fundraisers who raise the most between Nov. 1 and Dec 31 will win a Full-Access Wanderer’s Club membership and WP swag! If you’re the top overall challenge fundraiser, you’ll win an entry to a 2023 VR Half Event!
So go on and get creative! Get 29 people to donate $29 on the 29th. Make your famous homemade rolls for a holiday gathering and charge $5 a roll. We’ll see you at your fundraising finish line! 😉
