Wander Project is excited to announce that charity bib participants in 2024 events will now have the option to choose from U.S.-based charities and international charities as part of the “Your Choice” option.
This new initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to expand our communities’ impact and provide our charity bib participants with more options for meaningful causes to support. When participants select the “Your choice” option, they can now choose from local or international charities that align with their personal values and interests, including, but not limited to, organizations focused on global health, human rights, education, and more.
“We are thrilled to offer more opportunities for our participants to make a difference in the world through their participation with Wander Project,” said Amy Ben-Horin, Executive Director of Wander Project. “By expanding to include international charities as part of our “your choice” option, we hope to inspire our participants to think globally and continue to support the vision of harnessing the power of community to change the world!”
In addition to supporting a meaningful cause, individuals participating in the Charity Bib program will receive various benefits, including Wanderer’s Club access, fundraising support, and virtual meet-ups.
But for 2024, Wander Project has more in store. We aren’t just adding the option to donate to international organizations, participants will also have international event options for the first time! Registration for 2024 events is open on a rolling basis, with events from various partners being offered in various states and internationally! New events continue to be added as Event Partners firm up their 2024 calendars.
Rounding out the excitement, Wander Project also has some news in store for top fundraisers. Any individual charity bib who raises $10,000 or more, for any charity, will be entered to win a 2025 Race Prize Pack including entry to a 2025 domestic VR Event and travel accommodations. The winner will be selected at the end of the 2024 race season.
