We love hearing how the funds raised through this year’s events are creating positive impacts in these amazing communities. We recently received the following letter from the Yosemite Conservancy:

We are so grateful to Wander Project for the generous grant for our project, Restore Legendary Valley Trails. With your support, expert NPS trail crews have been performing trail maintenance on the most spectacular and well-used trails in Yosemite Valley, including Lower and Upper Yosemite Falls Trail, Four Mile Trail, Mist Trail, and Half Dome Trail—all with the goal of keeping them in top shape. The NPS crews are being aided by young, diverse members of the California Conservation Corps (ages 18-25), who are gaining valuable experience in the art of trail maintenance. So far, the crews have maintained approximately 30 miles of trail. In the coming weeks, they will focus on some critical repairs–rebuilding retaining walls and trail tread on the trails that were most affected by last winter’s storms.  Thanks to you, Yosemite’s legendary trails are being kept open for use, safe for hikers, and can provide ready access to all people who want to experience Yosemite’s vast and beautiful country.

Are you ready to join us for the 2021 Yosemite Half? We now have charity bibs available and are looking forward to what more we can accomplish in the new year!
