Wander Project Announces First Half of 2024 Impact Report and Important Milestone
We are thrilled to announce that the Impact Report for the first half of the year is now available! This short report highlights our big efforts and all the charity bib achievements over the first half of the year, truly showcasing the collective impact that can be made when we all take a few steps.
One of our most exciting updates is that we have just granted out over $200,000 to dozens of charities, hand-selected by each of the charity bibs who fundraised and ran so far this year. This incredible milestone would not have been possible without the dedication and support of our community.
Charity bibs have been a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts, allowing participants to combine their passion for running and endurance events with giving back. Soon, we’ll start to hear back from the charities about how the funds they receive are making a real impact, supporting numerous causes and communities in need. See our 2023 Annual Report to get an idea of what we heard last year!
We invite you to dive into our 2024 First Half Impact Report to learn more about our initiatives, the stories of those we’ve helped, and more. One thing we’re really excited about, are the number of athletes choosing to run for charities of their choice. This first half of the year over 60 athletes picked their own charity and they covered a wide variety of causes.
Our nonprofit partners have continued to grow their support as well with National, Regional, and Local levels all well represented in the first half of the year. If you’re looking to support an organization that has a strong network of runners giving back to meaningful causes we highly recommend you check out our nonprofit partners.
In case you missed some of our previous spotlights you can read our blog post about runners supporting our national partners Bigger Than The Trail and Challenged Athletes Foundation. We also had a great team that was put together for Growing the Grassroots at the Grand Teton Half and the Glacier Conservancy at the Glacier Half. Additionally, there has been growing momentum from our regional partners Rising Hearts as well as the new addition of Runners for Public Lands and Free to Run.
We can’t wait to see what the second half of the year holds! Your support continues to drive our mission forward, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment. Thank you for being part of the Wander Project community. Together, we are making a difference, one step at a time.
Stay inspired and keep wandering!
